Every two years CertainTeed Gypsum searches for stand-out projects that demonstrate innovation, artistry, and quality in drywall construction. These projects are placed before a panel of judges who marvel at the ingenuity and precision of their construction and select the very best to be shared with and applauded by industry leaders throughout the world.

But before we can get to the celebrating we first have to find the projects. Do you have a project you’ve worked on that stands out from the competition? Here’s what you need to know to get involved and get recognized.
Who do the awards recognize?
This is important. There are awards for builders and there are awards for architects but these are not those awards. These awards are for the drywall contractors and finishing contractors that are out on the jobsite everyday hanging and mudding and sanding everything to perfection. The builder and the architect will get their polite applause but these awards are all about you.
When is the deadline to submit a project?
All Trophy projects must be submitted by May 1, 2019. Projects can be submitted online by filling out this form.
What is the benefit of Trophy?
National and potentially international recognition.
One of the top reasons to enter this drywall award competition is distinction. Winning a CertainTeed Gypsum Trophy places you into an elite class of tradesmen and women where few are members. How can I find out if my project is eligible?
Let’s start with a simple quiz:
- Have you submitted your project in a previous International Trophy competition?
- Was your project completed after March 23, 2018?
- Does your project include CertainTeed gypsum products?

Projects can be entered in one of two categories: Residential Construction and Non-Residential Construction.
